Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the "Chat Manager for Claude (Unofficial)" Chrome extension ("the Extension", "we", "us", or "our"). The Extension is an independent, unofficial product and is not affiliated with Anthropic, PBC.

2. What data the Extension collects

2.1 Data stored locally in your browser only (never sent to us)

The following data is stored exclusively in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) and never transmitted to any server unless you opt into cloud sync (see 2.2):

• Conversation metadata — conversation IDs, titles, and URLs scraped from the claude.ai interface. This is the text you can already see in Claude's sidebar.
• Folder data — names, colors, and creation dates of folders you create.
• Tag data — names, colors, and creation dates of tags you create.
• Organisational assignments — which conversations are in which folder, which tags are applied, which are starred, and any personal notes you add.
• Saved prompts — the title, body text, and category of prompts you save to your prompt library.
• Settings — your theme preference, sort order, and a randomly generated device ID.
• Usage statistics — counts derived from your local data (total conversations, usage patterns). Computed locally; never transmitted.

We do not store or transmit the content of your Claude conversations. For the user-requested export feature, conversation text is read locally in your browser only to generate the Markdown file you download. Conversation content is not sent to our servers.

2.2 Data sent to our servers (Pro users with cloud sync only)

If you choose to sign in with Google and enable cloud sync (a Pro feature), the following metadata is sent to and stored on our servers (Cloudflare Workers + Cloudflare D1 database):

• Google account data — your name, email address, and Google account ID (the "sub" claim from your Google ID token). Used only to identify your account.
• Sync payload — the same metadata described in 2.1 (folders, tags, meta assignments, saved searches, settings, prompts). Conversation message content is never included.
• Billing data — if you upgrade to Pro, your payment is processed by Polar.sh. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status. We never store or see your card details.

Cloud sync is entirely optional. Free tier users who do not sign in have no data sent to our servers at any point.

2.3 Data never collected

We never collect:

• The content of any Claude conversation (messages, responses, files)
• Your Anthropic account credentials or session tokens
• Browsing history outside of claude.ai
• Keystrokes or screen recordings
• Any data from websites other than claude.ai

3. How we use your data

Data collected is used solely for the following purposes:

• Providing the Extension's core features (organisation, prompt library, stats)
• Synchronising your metadata across devices when you have cloud sync enabled
• Managing your Pro subscription and billing status
• Responding to support requests you initiate

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics resale, or any purpose beyond operating the Extension.

4. Permissions the Extension requests

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions and uses them as follows:

• storage — Saves your folders, tags, prompts, and settings in local browser storage.
• tabs — Detects active claude.ai tabs to send prompts to the correct tab when you use the prompt library, and to open sidebar mode.
• identity — Enables Google OAuth sign-in for the optional cloud sync feature.
• alarms — Schedules lightweight background timing tasks (for example, auth flow keepalive/retry and sync-related timers) so extension operations complete reliably.
• clipboardWrite — Allows copying conversation links and exported markdown to your clipboard when you request it.
• sidePanel — Enables the optional sidebar mode that keeps the Extension open alongside claude.ai.
• scripting — Executes packaged extension scripts on claude.ai when needed to apply user actions from the popup/sidebar and keep page integration working.
• host_permissions: https://claude.ai/* — Allows the content script to run on claude.ai pages. Required to scrape sidebar conversation titles, inject the organize button, insert prompts into the input field, and export conversations.

5. Third-party services

When you use cloud sync or Pro billing, we interact with the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth (accounts.google.com) — Used for sign-in only. We receive your email, name, and account ID. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• Cloudflare Workers & D1 — Our server infrastructure. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
• Polar.sh — Subscription billing processor. Your payment information is handled entirely by Polar.sh. We never receive or store card details. Polar's privacy policy: polar.sh/legal/privacy

6. Data retention and deletion

Local data — Stored in your browser until you uninstall the extension or clear its data from Chrome's extension settings (chrome://extensions → Details → Clear data).

Server data (Pro sync) — Stored as long as your account exists. To request deletion of all server-side data, email techosiris69@gmail.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". We will delete your account and all associated sync data within 30 days.

Session tokens — Stored in Cloudflare KV with a 30-day expiry. Logging out from the Extension immediately invalidates your session.

7. Data security

Server-side data is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure, which includes encryption at rest and in transit. Session tokens are cryptographically generated random values. We use HMAC-signed state parameters in the OAuth flow to prevent CSRF attacks. We do not store passwords.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Our server infrastructure is operated by Cloudflare, which processes data in data centres globally. By using cloud sync, you consent to the transfer of your metadata to these servers. If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, note that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction. We rely on Cloudflare's standard contractual clauses for such transfers.

10. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• The right to data portability
• The right to object to processing

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will include a notice in the Extension itself. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
