Terms of Service

Plain-English summary: Use the Extension to organise your Claude conversations. Don't misuse it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to violate Anthropic's terms. If something breaks, we're not liable — but we'll do our best to fix it. Free users can use the app indefinitely; Pro is a monthly subscription you can cancel any time.

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using the "Chat Manager for Claude (Unofficial)" Chrome extension ("the Extension", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.

These Terms apply to all users of the Extension, including free and Pro subscribers.

2. Description of service

The Extension is an unofficial, independent browser extension that adds organisational features to the claude.ai web interface. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by Anthropic, PBC. The Extension:

  • Reads conversation titles from the claude.ai interface to enable search and organisation
  • Stores user-created organisational metadata (folders, tags, notes) in local browser storage
  • Optionally syncs this metadata to cloud servers for Pro subscribers
  • Provides a prompt library for storing and inserting frequently used prompts
  • Provides an export feature that generates Markdown files from visible conversation content

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User accounts and Pro subscription

4.1 Free tier

No account is required to use the free tier of the Extension. All free-tier features are available without registration. The free tier has usage limits (5 folders, 20 tags) as described on the pricing page.

4.2 Pro subscription

Pro features require creating an account by signing in with Google. Pro is available as a monthly ($4.99/month) or annual ($49/year) subscription, processed by Polar.sh.

  • Billing: You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable subscription rate. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from within the Extension (Settings → Plan & Pricing → Manage subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rated refunds are provided for unused time.
  • Refunds: Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of a charge. Contact techosiris69@gmail.com.
  • Account termination: If you violate these Terms, we reserve the right to terminate your account without refund.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Extension to violate Anthropic's Terms of Service for claude.ai
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or infrastructure
  • Use the Extension to scrape, harvest, or collect data from claude.ai for any commercial purpose
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Extension's Pro features
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Extension's server API
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Extension's servers or services

6. Disclaimer of affiliation

"Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. The Extension uses the name "Claude" solely to describe its function — providing organisational tools for the claude.ai service. The Extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Anthropic in any way. Use of the Extension does not imply any relationship with Anthropic.

7. Intellectual property

The Extension, including its source code, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Chat Manager for Claude. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your data (folders, tags, prompts, notes) remains yours. We claim no ownership over content you create within the Extension.

8. Third-party services and APIs

The Extension interacts with claude.ai, Google OAuth, Cloudflare, and Polar.sh. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or changes that may affect the Extension's functionality.

In particular:

  • The "Full History Sync" feature uses an undocumented internal claude.ai API. Anthropic may change or disable this API at any time without notice, which may cause this feature to stop working. This is not grounds for a refund.
  • The Extension's operation depends on the claude.ai interface remaining structurally compatible. Interface updates by Anthropic may temporarily or permanently affect Extension functionality.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Extension will function without interruption or error
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Extension is free of viruses or other harmful components
  • The Extension will remain compatible with future versions of Chrome or claude.ai

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Extension shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developers of the Extension from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Extension or violation of these Terms.

12. Availability and modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any part of it at any time
  • Update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version to this page
  • Change the pricing or features of Pro at any time with 30 days' notice

Continued use of the Extension after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Extension.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Extension will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
